Dharmendra, Bobby Deol And Sunny Deol To Reunite For Apne 2; Film Expected To Go On Floors Next Year
Bollywood’s father and sons trio – Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are gearing up for the 2nd installment of Apne franchise. Rumours of filmmaker Anil Sharma coming up with 2nd part of Gadar and Apne were doing the rounds of social media but he had clearly stated that Gadar 2 is not an easy thing to crack, however, he’s working on Apne 2. Now as per the latest online reports, the father son trio is set to reunite for Apne 2.

According to a report in Times Of India, the 2nd installment of Apne, will feature the same star cast Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra, who starred in 2007’s Apne. The same report further suggests Anil Sharma has even finally locked the script and its balance cast is yet to be decided. Apne 2 is expected to go on floors in March/April 2021 and the shooting will take place in Mumbai and London.

Earlier, brother Sunny Deol 64th birthday, Bobby Deol had revealed that Sunny would do things for him like their father Dharmendra would do for Sunny. Bobby told The Telegraph, “My brother took over the reins from dad because they decided that what dad had done for him, he wanted to do for his younger brother. It’s a tough job to get everything organised on a film, and my brother didn’t shoot for his own movies for a whole year while supervising Barsaat, that’s how involved he was.”

Speaking about the first installment, Apne saw Dharmendra portraying the role of an ex-boxer Baldev Chaudhary who wants his real and reel life sons Sunny and Bobby aka Angad and Karan, respectively, to wash out his stains. Apne co-starred Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Victor Banerjee and Divyas Dutta in key roles.
